Temple of Karnak, Luxor.Before our boat set sail, we had a separate tour of two of the most famous temples in Upper Egypt, beginning with Karnak. This was the hottest day of our entire trip, reaching 108 by mid-afternoon, so we were already exhausted by mid-morning. Karnak was easily the most impressive temple, especially the Hypostle Hall pictured here, its 134 columns dating back to around 1300 BC.
