Gayer Anderson Museum, Cairo.Attached to Ibn Tulun is the Gayer Anderson Museum, named after the British officer that lived in it at the turn of the 20th Century. Two houses, one from the 16th century and the other from the 17th, comprise this museum. Some of the best preserved Ottoman architecture, including wood- and marble-work, can be found within. On the roof are Steve and Helen, our gracious hosts in Cairo, along with Mike and me.
